According to a 2019 article in Harvard Business Review, with a series of contributing authors, “Social belonging is a fundamental human need, hardwired into our DNA. And yet, 40% of people say that they feel isolated at work, and the result has been lower organizational commitment and engagement. In a nutshell, companies are blowing it. U.S. businesses spend nearly 8 billion dollars each year on diversity and inclusion (D&I) trainings that miss the mark because they neglect our need to feel included.”

Tre has over 20 years’ experience as an urban planner, social impact & DEIB practitioner-leader, and consultant. She has worked in leadership across sectors and in many industries. As founder & principal of a Black woman-owned management consulting firm, Tre is passionate about strengthening organizational infrastructure and leadership capacity.
