Tre Cabrera, MRP, MSW

Tre Cabrera is founder & principal of Cabrera Advisory Group, LLC, a Black woman-owned management consulting firm.

With decades of expertise, spanning sectors and environments, she leads the firm with a growth mindset and recognizes and appreciates the unique diversity of the social good ecosystem. Tre specializes in Community Development & Social Impact, DEI & Belonging, Learning Communities & Talent Development, Organizational Culture-building, Project Management, Public Speaking, Strategic Planning, and Values-based Leadership Development. She speaks about organizational culture-building to help audiences ignite unity, spark change, and lead with impact.

Tre is a professional urban and regional planner and social work management and social impact leader. She is a focused, analytical, systems thinker dedicated to progressive social change, with over 20 years of experience in planning, organizational management, community practice, social action, public education, educational equity, social justice, public policy, research, and management consulting. Tre has partnered on projects and initiatives with the Ford Foundation, The Johnson Foundation, ICLEI Local Governments for Sustainability, and other leaders in social impact and innovative problem-solving. She is committed and excited to partner with teams and leaders to define and achieve a world of shared prosperity and social justice through an inclusive, collaborative, and bold approach to social change.

A skilled practitioner and social justice advocate, Tre’s leadership with multidisciplinary teams and groups, including statewide advocacy coalitions, advisory councils, and boards, has amplified her success to lead and build stakeholder support for change. She served on the Board of Directors of Community Crisis Services, Inc., served on a Board of Directors’ committee with First Generation College Bound, delivered legislative testimony before the Maryland General Assembly, served as the inaugural keynote for the SUNY College at Geneseo Women’s Leadership Institute, and led advocacy and social action initiatives in Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and New York City.

Tre earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) at University of Maryland School of Social Work in Baltimore, with concentrations in organizational management, community practice, and social action; a Master of Regional Planning (MRP) in economic development and community planning at University at Albany (NY); and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in political science, with Pi Sigma Alpha honors, at College at Geneseo, New York’s Public Honors College.
